An approval only covers the panel installed the way the approval describes (deck, gauge, fastening pattern and wind zone). Always have your installer follow the approval document for your project.
Miami-Dade, Broward & the HVHZ
The High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (Miami-Dade and Broward) has stricter rules. Roofing there generally needs a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) on top of a Florida Product Approval. Call us before you order and we will confirm what is available for your job.

Questions
Do I need a product approval number for my permit?
In most Florida jurisdictions the building department wants the Florida Product Approval (FL#) for the roofing product, and installation has to follow that approval (deck, fastening pattern, wind zone). Your roofing contractor usually submits it with the permit.
Where do I find the approval document?
Search the FL# in the Florida Building Commission product approval database (floridabuilding.org), or call us and we will point you to the right document for your panel.
Do you sell HVHZ products for Miami-Dade and Broward?
Miami-Dade and Broward are in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone and generally require a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) in addition to a Florida Product Approval. Call us before ordering so we can confirm what is available for your project.
