Every roof panel converges at the ridge, creating a joint that Florida's heavy summer rain will find if the cap is improperly installed or undersized for the rib height.

Our stocked trim is made from the same kind of coated steel as our panels, in Galvalume, SMP painted or Kynar 500 painted finishes (some pieces also in .032 aluminum). The trim price list shows the gauges and finishes available for each piece. Ridge caps are bent to your roof pitch, so tell us the pitch when you order. Our standard 12-inch cap has legs of about 6 inches on each side (the 18-inch cap has about 9 inches), which lap onto the panels and shed wind-driven rain. For very low slopes, call us and we will go over the cap size.

Color matching is straightforward: every color in our painted palette is available in the ridge cap profile. When you place your panel order, simply add the same color ridge cap to your list. For custom bent caps, the $63.00-per-10-foot-piece price is the same for all colors and gauge options — no upcharge for painted caps. For a gable barn with a 40-foot ridge, you will need 5 pieces to allow for overlaps and waste: 5 pieces at $63.00 is $315.00.
